HOW TO BEGIN
Step 1: Register
This gains you access to the Typeface Entry
and Management Tools—a password protected area that contains
all you need to catalog your typeface designs and maintain their
vital info.
Step 2: Enter Your Typeface
Info
For each typeface family you will be able to
enter the name, designer, foundry, distributor, class (serif, sans,
display, etc.), styles/weights, your special notes on the typeface,
a thumbnail image for quick reference, plus supplemental samples
to help others better identify your typeface.
THUMBNAILS and TYPE SAMPLES
Templates for the Thumbnail and Sample views are provided in Macromedia®
Fireworks® and Adobe® Photoshop. Please use these provided
templates so that we can maintain uniformity in presentations of
your typefaces.
PRESENTATION PROTOCOLS
No Color. Please set all of your work in black. Color entries will
be rejected and you will be asked to replace these items before
all content will be posted. Please submit your presentation materials
in either JPEG or GIF Formats. No other formats will be accepted
(this includes files submitted as Shockwave Flash® SWF). These
steps will insure uniformity and fairness in presentation. Remember
the intent is to catalog, preserve and expose.
Step 3: Processing
This step takes approx. 1 to 2 days. Ypur typeface
will be cataloged and added to the database, allowing it be appear
in the search results by whatever criteria specified by the user.
Step 4: Maintain Your Entries
You are responsible for this. At any time,
you can Log In and access any of your typefaces previously entered.
Make changes, add samples or enter entirely new typefaces to the
catalog. Remember, it's your responsibility to keep your information
up tp date. If you ever have problems or questions with your entries,
please email us.
Step 5: Tell Others
The intent is to make this the most consummate
archive of typefaces. The more, the merrier.
